There's always a first time.
I think my wife and son are going to have fun skiing. We were at Lutsen Mountain along Lake Superior skiing this past weekend. I expect Vail to be much more fun for them.

Yes, we like to do things differently here
I added a note about the numbers being in Fahrenheit, and how to switch them to celsius for the metric portion of the world.
-
Well, so if you wish to see how to check in at Vail, watch this video.

Hi Guys,
I am finding the ski lift ticket booking confusing. I was thinking about spending Sunday 13th and Thursday 17th on he slopes but it seems that there is no option before the 15th!
This is what I'm looking at http://www.vail.com/plan-your-trip/lift-tickets/lift-tickets-explorer.aspx
Mike
EDIT: Ah! I see the problem ..... to get discount rate one needs to book 7 days in advance. Looks like a chopper drop then
-
My wife booked a day late and didn't get tickets for Monday as she wanted. She got Tuesday instead. She told me she would be able to get tickets once we get there, though. Did you get my last e-mail?
-
Vail's Ticket prices are absurd! I get my whole family season passes to Squaw Valley and Alpine for around $1300. I think I will spend the same next week for 3 days of skiing.....O'well.
-
I shopped around for discounts but not worth the hassle for the small discounts available. The Vail slopes had better be good as they are among the most expensive I have ever come across.

Yep, just replied Dave

Yeah, I looked into year passes when we moved out here this last summer....and Wow Vail is quite a bit more expensive than almost every other resort.
-
Hey Chris ....... is there any truth to the rumor that Trimble are going to surprise us with Ski Passes

whenever I've skied in Colorado, I bought daily passes from Walmart or SevenEleven...
hugely discounted with the days food rations or a bottle of wine...
might be worth checking their sites...
love to be joining you all...

Just checked your link Mike: $170/day! Kinda bonkers pricing - and I've been dragging helmets etc round the US for the last 2 weeks.

How many could we fit into a chopper
-
Just learned about 'tubing'
-
It's probably too late now, but I would have thought a company as big as Trimble could have organised some sort of corporate discount for ski passes as a perk for basecampers.

A chopper on standby will do nicely
