Lines not hidden
-
I've noticed in a few of my drawings since moving to SU2013 that in raster mode the display is as expected but if I switch to vector mode lines are displayed which should be hidden. The following extracts are a plan ortho view of roof timbers with trimmers where the bottom edge becomes visible. I also have this happening for stair treads where the back of the riser is visible on the upper surface despite a 25mm separation between the top & bottom of the tread. Anyone else getting seeing this kind of problem/bug?

Hi!
We recently fixed a bug that may be responsible for what you're seeing. If you can share the file with me, I will test it against our latest version of LayOut and make sure that it's fixed.
thanks,

I ran into the same or a similar issue last week in a perspective view. It doesn't happen very often but I'll be happy to see a fix for it.

Any news on this issue? Bad Form when relying on Standard Views for Construction Documents. Vectors is the right rendering mode for 2D presentation drawings. Looks like it has not been fixed.
Pics and SKP enclosed.
Kind Regards to all

Thanks for attaching your file, I can see the problem on my machine. I'll make sure we investigate the problem.

HI
im having this problem too, any advance on the solution?
-
the issue appears if exported to DWG! so this must be a problem in sketchup, not in layout?
-
AAAALSO...
if you tilt the elevation just a little bit, the lines disapear.. so maybe its the camera position? or the scene?

Marc Durant (with Trimble/SU Team) sought me out last week during 3D Base Camp in Vail, Colorado. Nice, Thorough and Professional. SKP has indeed identified AND Correctected this Condition. Fix will be published in upcoming releases. As I understood Marc's explanation; when LAYOUT Solid Lines in the Background align with Hidden/Soft Lines in the Foreground, those in the Back would show through when rendered in Vector mode.
Good Form by SketchUp! Not only are they in tune with the Fixes, they also take the time to get back with Progress Updates on these issues. Great Work Team. Thanks to the SketchUp Team.

I hope it can be released 'soon' because its kinda annoying to have to (temporary) overlay white fixes if you want to render in vector mode.
