Usage:
Plugins > TIG-scale2volume
Context-menu > TIG-scale2volume [with a suitable preselection]
Action:
Preselect a Solid Group/Component-Instance Object.
Activate the Tool.
Object is scaled to be the Volume entered in the dialog,
you also specify the Units and the scaling's Anchor-Point
[Object's Bounds-Center or Insertion-Point].
You can also specify its 'Mode' - to work on the Original or a Copy.
Objects are made unique.
The Scaling is one step undoable.
The dialog displays the Object's Volume in current Units.
The last used Units, Anchor-Point & Mode are remembered during that session.

1.0 20131005 First issue.
1.1 20131007 Option added to keep original.
1.2 20140526 Default volume displayed [cu"/cc] from original, to p=9 d.p.

Hey TIG. I was just discussing how a uniform scale to volume plugin would be useful and you've already done it!! haha great work!
Would it be easy to edit the code to create a scale2surfacearea plugin?
Some 3D print materials such as ceramic are charged by surface area not volume you see.
