Love the new layout of SCF... I don't know the new abbreviation of the website , so I'll use the old one.
In any event the website looks great guys, thanks for doing what you do.

I agree, looks cleaner and more professional. I'm getting a little funky stuff with Chrome, but Safari and IE 10 are perfect.
-
I'm on FireFox 23.0.1 and looks good.
-
Pleasantly surprised ! Well done !

Post an example of funky. On chrome for me it is fine.

Yeah, looks good with FF, but here's what I see in Chrome (running Ubuntu Linux)

FF 99% good... where is 'search by author'... ?
-
I was just thinking the other day that the header here was really tall, good job guys on slimming it down

Could be a cache thing. Ctrl + f5 or Ctrl + R
Clear your cache see if it helps

Site has search in header. Forums not.
Search was in 2 places previous.
We'll look at forum search on Monday if you can wait.
-
But even the Site Search doesn't filter by author ?
Typically I'd use it to find something I said in a post I vaguely recall saying -

I'll look at fixing the forum search Monday.
There is a search facility in certain area of the board but we need it everywhere.
Monday.....promise.....someone more important is glaring at me as I type.

Until Monday (when Rich fixes the search) here is a direct link for use in case of urgent search needs. http://sketchucation.com/forums/search.php

That's got zip to do with the new layout I'm afraid.
New Posts is a search based on recency and what your browser has stored from a previous session. Or there abouts.
Give it a few mins and see if it works.

May I ask you when you logged out before experiencing this?
"New posts" should show the posts that have been submitted since the time of the last visit (the last logout time). I have to admit that in case of the previous design I almost never logged out. But now this new logout icon is so attractive, that I frequently click on it when I leave the forums. Therefore I have a very short new posts list. Might be that your case is similar to mine?

I agree - it looks GREAT...! Congrats...!
I only see a few glitches where there seem to be some inconsistence with some fonts...
I.e. the links in the bottom of the page (Board index, Members) seem to be using a Times New Roman font, while the rest of the site is using Arial/Helvetica...BTW... I'm using Mozilla Firefox v24...
Edit: Now it's a couple of hours since I posted this and the font issue is gone...
Did someone fiddle with the settings somewhere...? -
