A little help with textures?
-
Hi folks, I have been working on this kitchen interior for a while now. I have plenty of elements to add yet, but I want to start getting a more photo-realistic look. The parquet floors are coming out a bit flat and pale. I have attached the repeat pattern used (which I have darkened no end), and the setting for the floor is:
Diffuse 95%, Reflection 5%, Bump depth 25%, Anti-aliasing high
I have LEM's in the windows at 75 power, and spotlights on the roof at power 1, 15/45 cone
Any tips on getting some depth? I have also attached a reference photo of the floor look I would like to get closer to. Renders in Podium V2, Sketchup make 2013.Many thanks, Paul

I donn't know Podium, so only my first impressions:
- one bench seem to float in the air
 - there are only sharp edges, some bevels would help to increase realism
 - the ground in the reference image seems to be much more reflective
