      A truncated Octahedron is a very simple structure if you know the trick. People struggle with the calculations of the angles involved, but they are pretty simple too when you know them. You only need to know 54.736 deg and 35.264 deg add up to 90 deg.
      However, if you haven't had that particular bisection of 90deg drilled into you at birth, you'll find the simple split cube method easy to use and remember.

      Start with a cube of any size, cut through it on the diagonal mid points and remove one side, this will create one eighth of the shape which can then be rotated and flipped to make the rest.
      No calculations, no head scratching no hair pulling.

        How did u make one pyramid into octahedron? What option have you used to get exact alignment of pyramid to for octahedron. Can you please tell me ?

              It is not. Please see that two adjacent facets are not same. One is rectangle and another one is trapezoid. There is a difference.

                  Thanks for sending screen shot. But, it is only half of the structure. Making it full was little tricky. The similar way, I have also followed and partially succeed.
