I made a simple dynamic vinyl window component called Dynamic Vinyl Double/Single Hung Window and uploaded it to the 3d Warehouse. I got the following comment...

This guy has mucked up his environment and this file will change YOUR interface to be as chaotic as his. If there is a way to report this as abuse I will.

People write flame comments all the time but I want to be careful. I just want to make sure I'm not unknowingly creating components that can mess with other people's drawings when they import them.

As Far as I knew, the component was very simple, bug free, created in the default settings that SketchUp opens with, and is 100% layer 0. So what does he mean mucked up my environment and how can my component import changes to his interface?

How about posting a link to the model so we can see it?

Downloaded it and couldn't find any problems. Some suggested corrections/changes:

the meeting rail on the upper and lower sashes should align (on a traditional window, the are narrower than the other stiles and rails. Likewise on traditional windows the bottom rail on the bottom sash is wider than the others. But I noticed on most vinyl windows this isn't the case.)

Create a generic color such as "window frame" for the frame and sashes so people can simply edit it to get the desired color, without having to repaint the components. Likewise with the window glass.

          My avatar is an anachronism.
