      Hi All,

Just a quick one to see if anyone else has this problem, I am using Fredos round corner tool to bevel some edges in my model. When i use the tool it creates a strange gradient effect on all adjoining faces - see attached video.

This does not effect the output in Layout but it does annoy me when things seem buggy. Anyway Im on a mac with latest operating software, I have a pro license for sketchup 2013. It does this all the time whther Im rounding the corners or bevelling. I would love to know if anyone else has this. Oh and shadow settings wise - in the video shadows are off, but i get the same effect if they are on and if i use sun for shading or not.

      Thanks

      Luke

That's not unusual. It is due to the way the limit edges of the roundovers are handled.

Same shape, same offset and number of faces in the roundovers, different appearance because the edges in the roundovers are handled differently. You can change that in the toolbar that opens when you start the plugin. Experiment with different settings to see which ones work best for you.

Just good to know its not a bug.

          Regards

            Nope, not a bug.

Here's another example. I just softened the edges on the cubes but on the right I first made offsets on the three visible faces. After softening the cube edges, I hid the offset lines and you can see how that affects shading.
