I have downloaded and I am testing it now. I find Brighter3d to be very handy so far.
I have not done any rendering to speak of heretofore.Using only basic settings and experimenting with light objects in a couple of my own models, I find the quick results and minimal involvement at this point suitable for me as I learn.
After unzipping the download to the Plugins folder in SU8, the startup. exe file in the plugins folder deploys a file into the Materials folder for red blue green yellow and white lights of several intensities, some reflective material properties and probably other features I haven't discovered.
There is a toolbar, or you can access these interfaces from menu> plugins> brighter3d> flyout.
Probably those more experienced with rendering may find this program handy for quick visualization or quick results under a time constraint.
