I've been trying to figure out how to do a stadium with the same type of "flowy" roof (with the trusses); presented in the render. I tried radical bending however I couldn't get the shape right. Could someone explain to me step by step how to create a roof like this?

      Thanks in advance.

Extrude tools wont really give me a true truss. The end result will just be a grid. This would need to be something like a spaceframe.

Edit: Didnt see the attached pic. Ill try this out.

I just tried producing the roof using the extrude tools, with no success. I seem not even be able to get the basic shape right.

So I figured a possible way this may be done:

Basically loft skinning the shape, and clicking the generate with pseudo quads. Then selecting the lines and turning them into tubes.

However this happens when loft skinning:

After skinning; on the right. Before skinning on the left. The geometry does not match the lines at all.

You could try like this : make the inner shape, then use Offset tool from Tools on surface to create the outer shape, then connect the two shapes with lines and replace the lines with components.

YES! I think Ive got it!

                  We both think alike πŸ˜„

I made the inner shape using the loft skining. Now Im fixing up the geomerty πŸ˜„
And letter as you said Im gonna offset it πŸ˜„

Or, you could create the skin between the inner and outer shapes with Curviloft with how many segments you want, then extrude this skin with Joint push/pull ,then you have to add some extra lines for your desired effect.
I used lines, arcs, circles to cylinder plugin to create the structure although I would have used something to create squares or rectangular profiles .

Is there a plugin that does that?

Not as far as I know; I copied, scaled and rotated them manually !
