Any way I can import a 32 bit HDR into SU as a texture or image? Or am I going to hit a brick wall?

Any help would be much appreciated, even if to say it's not possible. πŸ‘

I think it is not possible, because you need the tonemapping for a correct view and this is not a part of SU.

              Hi.

If keeping the HDRI as a HDRI isen't a must. Then you could always convert it to 8bit in PS(gimp?) and save as JPEG for a smaller format.
If you blur it you can get away with artifacts.
After that, maybe map it to a sphere with face normals pointing inwards if it's for rendering.
UV-layout may have to be done exteriorly or with a plugin I guess..

Maybe you have already considered thoose possibilities.
Just putting it out there if not....

And I do reckon it's for making a Dome Γ½ou want too use the HDRI ?

              Good luck!

I can not discuss the project, sorry. Yeah JPEG won't help me and I've already considered the ideas you mentioned, but thank you.
