Random push pull

Under what circumstances would I need to select a face without selecting the bounding edges in a push/pull operation?

Push/Pull is an operation on faces. Or better said, on a single face. Don't include any edges at all. If you select a face plus an edge not being part of it's circumference, that the tool's face pre_selection is turned off for that face. Meaning that it again selects what face you are hovering over.
Circumference_edges though may be included in the pre_selection of a face. -
But you have some plugins of random Push Pull
Didier Bur inside his fist Projection (a must to have)And by Jim / Tig
Else for example the new plug Quick Lathe by Trogluddite who need only face without perimeter!

The reason I ask is that I am using randompushpull.rb and wasn't sure if I selected an entire subdivided face including all of the associated edges in that subdivided face that it would make a difference on how the script worked or the resulting elements....but in testing it appears there is no difference.
