      Hi,

If there is a plugin that gives out number of details from drawing, please, say!? I have problem with human factor when counting details. I have one component (cube), but with different types depending on connections. I write cube name manually, i'm looking for plugin that knows if something is connected in right place and names component differently. Someone, help please!

I have many more details, then just cubes, so i'm looking if there in SU is solution for that kind of problem. In a whole details have about 900 options, so i can't use components list. I use standart components, then name them manually as needed, but still do mistakes with human factor, so i looking to do it automatically and solwe it with some plugins or something else, or some other program can do it?

      Sorry for bad English..

      Thank you!

Thank you, I already use it. But i thinked about something else, more complex. I don't want manually give names to components, i want that it recognise connections automatically depending on connections ... If a cube has 3 beams connected than it is c-3, if 4 then c-4, if 1 then c-1. I have beams and other details too with similar problem, so i can't give every component option unique status because i will have about 850!!! components on components list. I just can't draw like that - slow and very, very messy and more mistakes if i have to change something.

On excel throught the ComponentReporter+ i made my detail countif and from that it works perfect. But problem is that i want to exclude human factor in SU because i write component specific names manually, i want that some plugin do it for me. --- If one component has connected another component in specific place then it knows that it has to change it's name.

Step by step with ComponentsReporter+, thanks. That i resolved in past already, but the main problem stays for me. I don't want manually write in SU Entity Info what is what option of detail, i want something like specific points on component and if it feels that something connects it, then gives him specific name.

I fully don't understand you desires, as currently expressed...

Deciding what touches what is considerably different from counting a list of groups/component-instances.

Incidentally, with a little skill in Excel you can link in a CSV file into one tab of an XLS and setup the XLS to report whatever you need in another tab - sorting, totaling, formating etc...

It is hard to understand,i know, maybe i expressed my desires wrongly. I need to make program that counts object details. But when i draw with components, i don't want to name every properties of component (component properties have codes, main aim for me is to get those codes automatically) manually - i need that it recognise properties automatically, component properties depends on place where it is situated or jointed with other components. And maybe for some kind of panel component program automatically offers the right size to match in frame.

Simply, but i found difficult to explain it. I haven't seen that kind of program, it would be very, very usefull.
