      Hi everyone!

      Is there someone who could explain me whitch tools should I use to make models of this mdf panels? How to make it quick as posiible?

        I'd use images of the panels as textures. That's the fastest way I can think of in SketchUp.

          No way, I need to make them in sketchup like *.3ds models.

            You could have included that information to begin with.

            Then you'll have to invest some time. You could draw the perimeter of each shape and use something like Curviloft or you could use Artisan or Vertex Tools. You could create grayscale heightmap textures in some other app and use ThomThom's plugin to convert them to geometry. No matter what, it won't be quick.

              Second time this week, I see mention of 3ds here in this sort of context.

              I wish for Many things for SU...to be faster, more stable, and better at putting out basic architectural stuff it was designed for. But there does seem to be a line to draw. SU isn't ever going to be 3ds. and that's a good thing. It's simple and fast (not in the CPU sense), and often the shortest way between two points. But to do the fancy stuff, sometimes you just need fancy, expensive, and time-consuming (if you have to learn it first) software.

              I hope to see what solution you find though. 😉
