      Hi -
I have been trying to make a filigree shape and eventually went the route of using Gimp to clean up an image then imported into Inkscape to convert to vectors.

From there I went into Blender and replicated the shape then exported as a 3ds file.

When I bring it into Sketchup the file falls apart into a bunch of open faces and would be a major pain to manually clean up the file.

Does anyone have any ideas to get this to work?

      Files:

      Thanks in advance.

      Todd

I could be wrong on this, but I believe 3ds has a limitation on the number of faces a file is able to hold. I think it's 64000

Use the triangulate function in Blender before exporting, this sometimes helps.
