          it's real simple.

draw the road you want on a flat plane.
          make those lines a group.
          cut the group via cut/copy/paste
open the land geometry and select everything (triple click)
then go to the soften edges menu. check-mark soften coplanar.
paste the road path above the land anywhere.
select the road path group and the land face.
go to the plugin menu and select instantroad and then road from centerline.
follow the questions about the road.
          done.

ok so maybe it's not soooo simple.

I mean Pilous link....if this is the tutorial working with terrain.
The instant road link works just fine.

Someone should write a good english tutorial how to work with triangulated terrain in sketchup. I really don't have clue, how to get the roads from the terrain. These roads are also in the real world, so I don't have to make new ones.

I've included a untouched SKP file which shows the situation. So, I want to make smooth terrain and the roads to it. You see they are there, but how can I "extract" them? And there's also other edgets, houses etc...

What is the first thing to do?

after looking at your file it looks like some type of 3D scan of a neighborhood. It already has a very detailed road in it and all of your geometry is one mass. If you want to separate the road from the land you'll need to go through and select every triangle and right click to make it a group. I would work in sections and then group them all together and explode them.

you can select more than one at a time but don't try to select all of them or it might make you start over if you slip. it might be easier to paint the road and then use the select same material on right click. then group.
