Hello, I'm currently running Mac OS X 10.7.5 using SU 8 for about a year now.

I saw a post about a plugin called curviloft and downloaded that along with the suggested downloads (LibFredo6)

I read on a page that if you didn't install correctly that the application wouldn't display the tools palette but just a pull down that shows LibFredo6 settings which I see is my case here.

I installed the plugins associated with the LibFredo6 link from Sketchucation in the following directory

      MacintoshHD/Library/ApplicationSupport/Sketchup8/Plugins

At this point I'm not sure how to correct the problem so any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. I should also note that I have other plugins installed (Oceanfloor, Shaderlight, and round corner) so somehow I was able to run those successfully which makes me hope I'm not totally hopeless.

Chances are good you either didn't maintain the correct file structure or you have something misnamed or you didn't get everything into the Plugins folder or you don't have full read and write permissions. Those are all common.

How about a screen shot of your Plugins folder?

Sounds like you moved the zip folder, put the contents into plugins

I'll try to post a screenshot soon. I know how to open a zip file and unload the contents. Somewhere I read that you need all the different plugins related to the one I'm looking at. I'll also try to track that down. I'm running under an administrator but I've heard of a bug that requires you to login as a new account at least that was a bug with writing Adobe Flash CS6 recently.

As requested I took a snapshot of the plugin folder in my sketchup 8 pro file system. Please let me know if this gives you guys a better idea to what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.

Tools on Surface and Libfredo6 4.7a are not installed correctly. Notice the '%' in the folder names. Essentially you haven't maintained the file structure as outlined in the first posts of those threads. Somehow you managed to install Libfredo 6 37 correctly. Notice how the folder name is correct.

Dave %20 is added for the internet to any download 'file name' with a space in the 'file%20name', it looks untidy, but in itself will not stop the file working, they can be replaced with a space, to look right.

John, I know it is added but I've never seen a plugin file work with the %20 shown in the name. Removing it has fixed it. And if that isn't qwalsius's problem, can you tell him what is?

take the folder out of the download one
fredo dosn't have spaces in his filenames so it's an additional folder
                      as I suggested earlier

Thanks for helping on this guys. I'll try removing the 20% manually then try redownloading and reinstalling from scratch maybe and post an update soon.

So I relaunched Sketchup manually removing the "20%" and replacing with spaces but it appeared to do nothing. Can anyone recommend the installation process on this? I would greatly appreciate it as there are some concepts I think would benefit my lectures on Native American canoe building in the Pacific Northwest region that building a 3d model would save some much still frame explanation.
