I am trying to draw this in sketchup but having trouble working out the best way when an object has complex curves that goes in multiple planes.
Below is the object I want to recreate in sketchup. I was trying curiloft but the bottom or face also needs to be curved. It needs even wall thickness also.eTop.pngetop-inside1.pngEbottom.pngEbottominside.png

hmm.. that's potentially a two hour long tutorial πŸ˜‰

i mean, are there any parts of that thing you can draw already? or are you literally looking for step by step on "how best to draw this from start to finish?"

Hi Jeff, I can draw OK with sketchup but it is the complex curves and even wall thickness. In a previous topic (curviloft...) ypou can see the start off attempt but the I cant make it cutrve in the other direction on the face. I was just wondering the best way to go about it. Not ony do I want the face to curve east to west but also north to south.

hmm.. i guess i made it as far as 'Save As' dialog then entered the V6 name.. forgot to switch the file type though πŸ˜•

so 2 out of 3 steps went ok..
maybe next time i'll get all 3 right πŸ˜‰
