Random colors using predefined colors
-
Hi,
How to color randomly ( using a ruby script) the elements using the prediefined colors as in the picture below
I've tried the plugin (color by group) but couldn't find the way to use the predefined colors ?

use this plugin by Chris Fullmer:

I've also got another one that can be useful. Paint a face with each color that you want to use. Then select those painted faces and all the faces you want to paint with those colors and run my Extrapolate Colors script. It will find all the colors in the selection and randomly apply them to all faces that do not already have a color.

And if you paint one color on 10 faces and a different color on 1 face and run the script, it will keep the weighted color preference - it will paint the color 10 times as often as the other color. I use it often for randomly painting pavers and bricks and mosaic tiles.
