Accurate scaling
-
Hi compleatly new to sketch up and have found some really useful tools like the sphere tool and the round corner plugins.
I was wondering if there was a plug in so that you could type in the sizes of the object when scaling a shape. I use the dimentions tool to try to get an accurite size in mm and I carnt get it exactly top the size I want, is there any way or a plug in that I could use to type in the size I want and for it to go to that size or a plug in that allows more accurate moving so it doesnt jump 0.2 of a mm.
Sorry if this has been asked before and thanks for your time.

You don't need a plugin. You need to start using the VCB and entering the correct dimensions to start with. If you are drawing a line, start drawing it, let go of the mouse and type the desired length.
If you are using the Scale tool, you can type the final dimension followed by mm to get a precise scale change. Keep in mind that the Scale tool may not be the correct tool for changing the size of something. If you are changing the length of an object that has had a round over applied to the edges, scaling will change the shape of the round over, too. In a case like that, the Move tool will be the better choice.
If your cursor is jumping to length in some incremental steps, go to Window>Model Info>Units and untick 'Enable length snapping' You can also adjust Precision there and depending on what you are drawing, you may want that precision set to more places past the decimal.

If you use the scale tool, you can type in the desired dimension (e. g. 100mm) and hit enter...
