Timothy Killen's Furniture Book
-
Hello This is my first post and I hope I've got it right. I'm an old geezer (80 years) but new to SketchUp. I played around with it a little then discovered a book by Timothy Killen (from Tauton Press) about using SketchUp to design and draw furniture plans. Since that is my interest I dove in but have found that sometimes the instructions do not give the results predicted. So here is my first question - is it possible to upload files that help describe the problem?

Sure, when you are writing a post, make suere you are in the "Full Editor" - there should be little smiling icons to the right of the message box. If you don't see those, then you might need to click on the "Full Editor" button below the text message box.
Nut once you are in the full editor, down below the Save Draft, Preview, and Submit buttons there is a tab for "Upload Attachment". Click on that. Then click on the choose file button and locate the file on your hard drive. Then back in the upload attachemnt area, click on the "Add the file" button and it will be uploaded to the forum and included with your message. You can more files as well if you need to upload more than one at a time.
Hope that helps, let us know if that was unclear or confusing, etc. Glad to have you around!
Chris
Is Tim a regular around here? I sure know his name, I even had a supposed username in my mind, but he doesn't show up on our user list how I'm remembering. Did he change his user name or something?

Tim Killen is my partner on the Design. Click. Build. blog on the FineWoodworking site. He's now done two e-books available there.
Dan, if you have questions about things in his book be sure you try to get in touch with him through the blog. He's always willing to help as am I.
And welcome to SCF.
