As to using the textures, I would create a new folder in the Materials folder under SketchUp and extract the SKM files into it. You could actually create that folder somewhere else like in My Documents but I like to keep them together.
Once you have extracted the contents of the ZIP file to the folder you have created, open SketchUp and look for the folder in the Materials browser. If you don't see it, click on the Details icon to the right of the drop down list of material libraries. Click on Open or Create a Collection. Navigate to the folder and choose it. Click on the Details arrow again and choose Add to Favorites and it'll show up as a favorite library in the future, too.
