Do you listen to music when you're on SU?

I find I get 2/3 times as much work done if I'm left alone with headphones on to get on with my work, but I usually end up listening to the same genres of music and I was wondering if any of you rabble had any musical suggestions for accompanying design work?
About 3/4 of the time I listen to 90s dance/rave via Soundcloud, but I'm also fond of a bit of swing music (Ratpack era) and Classical every now and then, but I find that they don't get me working as fast as the dance music.

It strongly depends on my mood. Sometimes I prefer to listen to slower and soulful songs. Sometimes mixed. I am a "rock" and blues fan and on my hard drive is about 800 hours of music recorded with my favorite songs. The spectrum ranges from the seventies to the nineties.

Well I play trumpet in a few church ensembles and now is the time to start rehearsing Christmas music. Actually we have been rehearsing for about a month on some pieces.

2/3 ? that's quite a loss of productivity. I'd steer away from that.
But I find that the music has to be somewhat familiar and "accessible" to my tastes. Otherwise I am thinking about it too much, and not the work. Of course it needs to set the mood. So if I want to feel like I am zooming along, it'd be rock, like Led Zep or Salsa. If I want to feel "intelligent" it might be Mozart. Zappa does a little of both. Sorry nothing in the "new" department. I like certain "world" or "chill" music as background, but that might make me drift off mentally
Sometimes I try to update work while discussing it with someone. The work is very slow that way. There is a certain concentration and groove, for me anyway, in modelling and drafting. Being alone with music helps.

I tend to use http://www.last.fm
You can search for an artist or genre etc and it will give you a bunch of similar stuff. Works well to keep you floating in a comfortably numb way but allows you to find new music that fits your mood.
No real need for most users to log in.
