Hello everyone! I'm new to these forums, and decently new to SketchUp for that matter, however I have been doing some general computer graphics for years now via Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Not only that, I'm a wonderful artist, at least in my opinion, in real life. I have been coding for a few years now, and figured it'd be good to start with SketchUp, and start getting the groundwork laid out to be able to create something in SU and code it into a game. On other notes, I am also taking college level classes in my high school for computer graphics. I'm very happy to be on these forums, and I'd love some tips of any sort, any will be appreciated!

From someone else relatively new to SU and this forum... welcome!

My tip, (which has been said by wiser users than me), would be to check out the tutorials on this site, read as many forum topics as your brain allows, and check back often... everyone here is super friendly and (except for noobs like me) extremely knowledgable.

Also, I've found YouTube to be a great help... I know I learned a lot from the videos from irishsketchup, among others.

        Cheers!

First project ; Model a desk out of 80/20, simply by getting the 80/20 components and sticking it in the components folder. I am planning to build a desk πŸ˜› πŸ˜„
