3d warehouse cannot download
-
Hi all, have been trying for a few hours to download some components from 3d warehouse. All is fine get on the site, search for the component, fine but as soon as I try to dowload the component it says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" everything else is working fine. Could somene take a look to see if they have the same issue? would realy apreciate it. Just trying to diagnose what is going on.

Thanks Marleus, then I have a problem that remains. Any clue as to what the problem may be....anyone?

What IE version do you have? Try to create another user account on your computer and see if this problem happens with that account, too. There are some registries in IE that can go corrupt with one user account but be okay with others.
If this is the case, I'd try to reinstall IE.

I'm also having a problem downloading my models I've uploaded to the 3D Warehouse. They download, but before they finish SketchUp 8 prompts me to fix problems.
Several of my models seem to have this problem, others do not. This one (linked below) in particular also was rated poorly by a user having problems with the Collada file:

The "results of the validity check" after clicking on "Fix Now" has many lines with messages about:
"CEdge (258316) and CEdge (258544) connect the same 2 vertices - fixed" ... etc.
I tried changing the geometry, redoing entire sections, simplifying and even deleting most of the model, re-uploading it and still was getting the same problem. Any ideas? I would really like to fix this and provide quality models for other people to use.

I decided to try uploading my models through the "Share Model" option inside SketchUp and that seems to have worked. I still don't know what the problem was with the .kmz files and the Cedge error messages - but at least my models can be downloaded into SketchUp without errors now... here is the re-uploaded SpaceX Dragon...
