End points appear "Bold"

In my model some (but not all) line segments/edges appear with "bold" end points. Sort of like nodes. This appears on-screen and in print. Is this a global drawing setting or a per-entity preference? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Menu Window /Styles /Edit
and disable some cases : maybe Extension, EndPpoints...
