Not quite a noob, but sometimes a bit dense....the problem I'm having is that when I try to edit or work within a group/component, the Google Earth Snapshot of the site changes to grey and I can no longer see the actual site image. This also happens with any other image. Is there a way to change a setting that would allow the actual image to still be visible.

      Thanks

Unfortunately there isn't a setting that would allow you to see the image when you have a component or group open for editing. You could explode the component or group but that might cause you other problems. When I need to access points in an image file such as the Google Maps image, I lay out guidelines as references before opening the component for editing.

Thanks Dave, I was afraid of that. I have used both methods you mentioned as well, I was just hoping there was an easier way. Thanks again.

why not just copy and paste into the component temporarily?
