Push pull
-
Hello all, I am a new user, I am an Architect and am trying to do a schematic block plan of a building on a site.
I have exterior walls drawn in plan. but they won't push pull up so it is a wall. I have checked all the intersections but i can't seem to locate the problem. -

Maybe some edges are not "plan", not "closed" etc...

while your looking at this attachment for the origional question, I also can't get the spaces on the plan to push pull up or apply materials to differsnt areas. I can get the entire floor to push pull but i want to assign materials to parts of the floor and it won't let me. I did it on other plans, but something is wrong with this one and I can't figure it out.

Those lines aren't in the same context as the floor. You need to explode the group for those lines, cut select them and use Cut and Paste in place inside the floor group.

Thanks, bu on additional thing. When using cut/paste is there a way to position the cut item so you dont have to realign things. I'm working with a model that is not square because of the existing site I'm putting it on. It appears to come in parallel to the axes of the drawings, not the angle of my drawing.

I have no chance with the V6
A confiserie ?

Poor Pilou. Everyone is out to get you.
Cathy, when you cut and Paste in Place, the orientation won't be changed.

I'm not so sure what you're actually trying to do here but I exploded, cut and pasted in place as I described. To get the large blue (inside out) face divided into different sections I had to poke around to find the edges that didn't intersect the outer edges of the blue face.

thx for the V6
Seems there are some layers overlapsed in each groups!

There are some issues like that with this file. It's kind of hard to understand exactly what Cathy has in mind with this. The scale also seems to be strange or maybe there isn't one.
