Buying an external hard drive

hi everyone,
since my time as an exchange student in germany is coming slowly to its end, i would like to make use of the free shipping of amazon.de and buy an external, portable, 1TB (and ideally USB 3.0) hard drive.
my question is - do you have any recommendations?
