Rectangular light not turning invisible

Hi guys,
MAC, SU8, 1.49
Another problem im having... I am doing a scene where I am trying to use rectangular lights to give a little bit of ambient light to particular parts of my scene. I have check the invisible check box but when i render it is still visible.
Any suggestions? ive tried checking and unchecking, deleting and recreating, but no change.

There's a separate checkbox for affect reflections - could that be your issue?
