Trouble starting SU

Hi, can anyone advise me on a problem I can't resolve? When I launch SU I get a bugsplat every time. A couple of days ago I downloaded Render[in] 2 after receiving an email from them about the latest version.
It seemed to make SU unstable and after a couple of trial renders I un-installed the programme completely. Since then I cannot start SU. My question is should I re-install Su and will all my plugins (of which there are many!!) remain. Do I need to save the plugins elsewhere and reinstall them one by one?
I'm using SU Pro8 (latest version) on a windows XP platform.
Any help would be appreciated.

Patrick DoyleAs for the future of this forum - I learned how to use Sketchup properly on here and all the hints, tutorials etc have been invaluable. I would hate to see it disappear.

Hi Patrick,
I would first wade through all my plugin folder to remove any renderin related rb (or rbs) file manually. Uninstalling the application itself may not remove these files, too.
If SU is still unstable, you can safely reinstall it and all your custom added plugins should remain intact.
As for the forums - it won't disappear.

just an update to let you know how it went! I did as you said and removed all render related rb files and it appears to have done the trick. I did not have to re-install SU so maybe I think that Render[in] 2 clashed with my other render programs, I had Podium and Shaderlight installed. Anyhow all's well and thanks again for your help.
