I was looking for a plugin that I saw here that enlarged a selection by 2 times and then returned the selection to the original size. I couldn't find the plugin.

However, that got me to thinking, would it be possible to make two icon, LGr and SMr, that if you made a selection, you could click on the either icon and make the selection bigger or smaller depending on which icon you selected. So every time you clicked on the larger the selection would get larger, and every time you clicked on the smaller the selection would get smaller. Just like the font icon for larger or smaller text. Just wondering.

Would still like to find the above plugin.

Thanks in advance for you help.

          Thanks thomthom.

I believe I may have used incorrect terminology when I indicated a selection. Selection in my case would have been a group or a component.

What I was doing was adding 3D text to different parts of the model. There wasn't a particular size of text that was satisfactory for all the parts. So what I was wondering, if there could be set of icons, that when I clicked on the text (which is a group) the text would get bigger or smaller depending on which icon I clicked. That way I could just add all the text at one size, go around the model and re-size the text as required.

I remember a plugin that made group/components larger for working on the group/components then would return the group/components to the original size. Just can not remember the name.

          Again thank you Thomthom

Well I found the plugin, booleanhelper.rb. So my search that plugin is over. Now, I need to dig into this plugin to see if I can get it to just scale the selected groups and not the whole model.

why not just use the tape measure tool or scale tool ❓

Yes the tape measure tool works, however it is a pain to go around to all the 3d text that I have inserted. In this case I was adding 3d text, and I had to keep changing the size to fit. One size did not work. However, that is when I decided hey if there is a tool that would change the size just by selection of the group/component/3Dtxt and clicking on the enlarger or reducer icon depending on which way I wanted to go, than I could just add text at a small size then go back and enlarge/reduce the text as required.

I found my solution. Booleanhelper.rb, not here in the plugin index of this site. The plugin located at this site enlarges the whole model. However, in "Ruby Library Depot" there is an older version that just enlarges the selected group/component. So with a little modification, I now have a plugin that will change the size of 3d text and has nice looking icons.

So, I have found a solution to my problem with 3d text. I now have a font enlarger/reducer just like Word. And my modified plugin changes any selection, group/component/geometry.

So I wish to thank, Liquid98 for this plugin. Also in the plugin index of this site is Liquid98 other booleanhelper.rb. Which is a nice plugin.

                So I am happy.

                Thanks all the for help.
