I just asked him about that, and he said they were purchased from Google...
the supplier can be evaluated by the last 3 digits of the serial no with the last digit representing the platform (W/m = Windows/Mac).

You are a reseller, Norbert, aren't you?

Well, mine looks like still @Last (ALW)

Huh, last 3 alpha characters are MSM. Looks like a Mac license? Works fine on Win 7...

ser no not auth. code
Norbert
If they are not authorized codes, how did they activate the program? These licenses were from a company that bought them at the enterprise level, might they not have different codes than a license bought at the individual user level?
-
There are two things there. Serial numbers and auth codes. You need to look at the serial number (that can be seen under Help > License > License info - notice that the auth code is not there)

Yes, I know...

So when he said "serial no not auth. code", he was saying "serial no, not authorization code"?
I thought he was saying "serial no not authorized code"

Serial no as No. or # (for number or "
N
umero
") -
-
So Steve, what you bought had both serial numbers and authorization codes?

No. They had serial numbers and activation codes.
-
This is beginning to sound like an Abbott and Costello routine
-
-
Well, when you activate it, it asks for your Serial No and Activation Code. No mention of an authorization code.
-
Well, I have just checked my email to which the last time these were sent. It says authorization number. (A third variation) Maybe even the Googlers are confused
-
Well, as long as they work. Everybody seems to be happy with their Pro versions.

Hi everyone,
Chiming in here from the SketchUp team: it's very possible that the licenses in question here are not valid. A few folks on the forum have already mentioned the not-for-resale clause of SketchUp's end-user license agreement; to clarify, we can arrange for the transfer of a valid license upon request. However, in this case, we can't validate right away that they are valid SketchUp Pro licenses in the first place.
If anyone has questions about these licenses or how to transfer a valid license, please use contact the SketchUp Pro sales team here: http://support.google.com/sketchup/bin/request.py?contact_type=sales
