After seeing his work in the "Most impressive SketchUp modelling" thread I decided to start working on a render of the outstanding Solaris Model which you can find here:

This is the current status of the WIP -- all renders in Maxwell, textures made in Substance Designer.
Best,

Looks great to me
Man, that thing is armed to the teeth! (I've never understood what that meant )

Nice rendering so far Jason.

It means that the only thing you have left to hold another weapon is your teeth.
The term originated in Port Royal Jamaica in the 1600s when pirates were constantly looking for ships to loot and their guns were very primitive. As a result, pirates could shoot only once before a long reloading process. Consequently, they needed to carry a gun in each hand, and also perhaps in each pocket. For extra power, they would also hold a knife between their teeth. So to be 'armed to the teeth' means to carry the maximum number of weapons possible.

Thanks Eric, interesting. Unfortunately I won't remember this because I can only remember three things at a time and what with my name, address and phone number I've reached my limit. (old age sucks )

Thank-you both. I have to say I'm really enjoying this -- his models are really outstanding and the thought he puts into the design is amazing... I've always admired this type of creativity but my brain just doesn't seem to work in that direction.
Right now the model is pushing the limits of what I can do in SketchUp directly so after I get done editing the geometry and texture mapping I will take it into Maxwell Studio so I can finish texturing and create better lighting using HDR Light Studio... I may even do a simple turntable animation.
Best,

Dang! That's really nice!

Thank-you, I'm working on final renders now.

Best,
Jason.
