Downloading plugins

I am brand new to this program, but have to use it for classes I am taking. It has been really tough!! Its not really as easy as everyone says it it (but then, again, I am in my late 50's and all these new computer programs have been tough learning). Could someone please provide me with how to get the plugin for creating curved corners and instructions on how to download it and explicit instructions on how to get it into Sketchup.
