Brilliant. The wife is from Chesterfield so know the place very well. Your model does it more than justice. 👍

Super again Tadema I've been to Chatsworth house a couple of times. What about Haddon Hall is it on your list ?

How long did it take you to model this beauty by the way?

            Great work Tadema.
I also loved the Broadley's publication. (yes I bought it 😉)
The thing you don't really get into is the nice PS Post-work.
Again, in these pictures I love the hedges and grass-work.
Could you give some pointers here?

                Thank you everyone.
Mike I'm glad it brought you a smile, it almost brought me to tears!
Alvis, the doors still there, poor viewing angle and bad PP caused it to hide.
                jo-ke, thank you very much.
Eric, thanks If only I could use the scale tool and Artisan the way you do.
chedda, If Haddon Hall is in Vitruvius Britannicus I would be more than happy to draw her.
rvdruk, I hope Broadleys was of help to you. The image below is the raw render output, the hedges are PNG files as components patched up in PS with the clone stamp tool. If you visit nomer's site http://www.nomeradona.blogspot.com
he has some great tutorials, much better than I can explain.
Lee, I would love to see these old buildings when they were first constructed. I modeled her over 4 days, the main house a little over 2 and all the bits curtains/steps ect over the remaining. + 2 days texturing, renering and PS.

                John

Hello Phil. I used a floor plan and front elevation plus photographs from the internet for reference.
The model is 12.1 MB, Edges 668912, Faces 293883. Although it was a full 360 degree shell, would have been much smaller had I modeled her for a render scene.
                                thanks John

Amazing!! Thanks for sharing your results with us, very lovely modeling. I agree with the comment about detailing "just enough," you convey the sense of the building very deftly. I'm amused by all the urns on the baluster, seems enough to make a chess set from them. 😄

Hey, I'm currently writing a story set in a stately home modelled after Chatsworth house, and I'd love it if I could load your model in Sketchup viewer to use as drawing reference. Would you be able to send a download link to mekkatechthc@gmail.com?
