"Shadows" doesn't work

I'm failing to use shadows in SU8Pro. It only shows on the menu-bar but not on the model. I can set for instance time and brightness, but this has no effect on the model: No shadows appear - an so rendering with Podium2 leaves only grey sky. Desperating!
