OKAY, so every time someone on the Internet asks this, they either get ignored, or nothing really happens.

I have some 3DXML files I NEED to get into Google Sketchup/3DS Max.

The only problem is that EVERY single "3DXML" Plugin/Importer/Program that can "Open 3DXML", either messes up the model, or does not work/has no textures.

      Why???

I've installed TONS of Importers/Programs and not one works!

I saw a thread here back in 2007, and someone had the same problem, and only got a few "I will make an importer later" replies.

      But obviously this never happened.

I'm asking if anyone is willing to create an importer.

I see people working on Plugins like a 3D Rubix Cube, or even some really good things like FredoScale.

But all I'm asking for isn't so hard.

3DXML is SO much like DAE and XML, it must be easy.

It is very Important that I get these models into Sketchup soon.

Before you suggest 3DVia, The Blender Plugin, or the 3DS Max Plugin, please know that I've tried EVERYTHING, and NOTHING'S WORKED.

It is very important that I get these models into Sketchup, so I ask that someone will spare their time and try to make an importer.

1000s of people have wanted this, but nobody's ever even tried.

So much depends on this for me personally, and all of my work will have gone to waste without it.

      Can somebody atleast try?

Or is there ANY successful way to already get a 3DXML into Sketchup?

I assume you have tried export to 3dVia and then export it out from there as .obj>

If it was as easy as you suggest, then I would assume that someone would have developed a translator by now...not necessarily limited to this forum. You might meet with more success on the Dassault forums, as it's their format.
I know you said that you have tried 3DVia, but have you also tried uploading any test models to the 3DVia version of the Warehouse? It seems that anything uploaded there is then available in its original format plus 3DXML and dae. Obviously 3DXML is your original format, but it ought to a least give you a Collada version...if you don't mind sharing.

Sounded like a nice workaround, but uploaded content can be downloaded as DAE only in paid accounts.
