Copy in line of succesion

It's called "Linear array" (See somewhere at the bottom here)
Basically:- select the group then the Move tool
- press Ctrl key (no need to hold down)
- move a copy where you want (snapping on top of the original for instance)
- type x7 (for instance) and hit Enter. Together with the first copy, 7 instances will be "arrayed".
You can do "Radial arrays" with the Rotate tool in a similar way.
