Cool ideas so far, Guys...thanks! (Yeah, tried that first Mike, but the trouble with upgrades is that I prefer the older versions of most of the software I use: go figure :`)
Think this would work well as a monitor with SU and rendering apps?
Tom,
I was thinking more along the lines of hardware. I agree with you about sticking to some of older versions of software. I have one in particular that I have not upgraded because its a case of 'if it not broken, don't fix it!'.

I can issue an invoice any time. You will have the time to think about what you want for it.

It's always worth remembering the spirit of that old joke about how "I spent most of my money on pleasures of the flesh, fine booze and food. The rest I seem to have wasted"
Do some things that please you, whatever they are. Buy something beautiful just because. -
If you don't have a good monitor now, get one. Best purchase I've made in a while - a nice 24" IPS panel with a calibrator.

How 'bout one of these, Tom?

I can see you on a Bell & Ross Nascafe racer....

Tom,
I noticed on your website that you're a Staff Architect. If you're not a Licensed Architect, why not purchase the materials to study for the ARE and work towards your License. That way you spend the cash and in the end you're also a Licensed Architect.
By the way, I love your rendering style, very impressive.
Take care,

if you find that you don't need anything, why not look around at someone in your building/community that's not in such fortunate circumstances and help them out. it may not be much but it will be appreciated.

Thanks for the tips, Guys (and the laughs :`)
Jan, went with the Cintiq12WX bundled with Painter12: a reasonable business deductable, I think...and after watching all the videos I could find, I think I'm gonna be thanking you more later.
My best to all, Tom.

Good to hear you liked my suggestion.
You can thank me by buying me one also.
