Save skm files on mac
-
This may be a stupid question but how do you save skm files on a mac.
On windows is pretty strait forward, (right click on the material and select "save as").
i am assuming it is something obvious that i am missing.
any help would be appreciated. -
Well, it's not quite as convenient on the Mac but it works. While looking at the materials In Model (click on the house icon to see them) drag the material you want to save down to the palette at the bottom of the window. You can drag as many as you need to save down there. Then change the upper window to the library in which you want to save the material. Now drag the material(s) up from the palette and drop them in the library.
On the PC you can open the secondary pane and drag the materials from the In Model library to another library without that palette step in between.

You're welcome.
Have you switched to Mac or are you still using the PC, too? You might want to update your profile to show the current OS you are using.

I came across this while looking for something else, and found it really informative.

that was my reaction exactly... john
BTW. The Mondrianum picker is great... works in SU with 'coverflow' in materials box...
