Tel-Aviv University demos quantum superconductors locked in a magnetic field (http://www.quantumlevitation.com). For an explanation of the physics behind this demonstration, visit http://www.quantumlevitation.com/levitation/The_physics.html.

        Hi, Tomasz:
This is amazing. Just the other day Frederik posted this. In fact, I recall seeing an early experiment on this several years ago, but not as sophisticated and not in a public venue. It has to do with the types of materials used and obviously, supercooling. However, I believe the main feature is that it is relatively high temperature, compared to near absolute zero.

I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

I agree... Otherwise they wouldn't be able to touch it with their bare hands...

          Cheers

Whole experiment is interesting. I do like the Locking. It is amazing how precisely the disks locks in its position!

                  p.s.
😳 😲 I am sorry for the doubled post. Haven't noticed former. Mods please merge both.
