This is amazing. Just the other day Frederik posted this. In fact, I recall seeing an early experiment on this several years ago, but not as sophisticated and not in a public venue. It has to do with the types of materials used and obviously, supercooling. However, I believe the main feature is that it is relatively high temperature, compared to near absolute zero. -

I agree... Otherwise they wouldn't be able to touch it with their bare hands...

Whole experiment is interesting. I do like the Locking. It is amazing how precisely the disks locks in its position!
