[Request] Batch DXF Export
-
I noticed that are several DXF-import plugins, but nothing to export.
Would it be possible to create a plugin for SU Free that exports DXF from selected components/groups, but each component/group to be saved as different DXF file? Also to be able to choose faces/edges/DXF version ?
Thank you very much.

guitar list has an exporter that works in 'free'
the forum there may have info for batch export, I only ever export individual items, one at a time.

One at a time would be fine, but sketchUp doesn't allow exporting just a part of model. I tried to export only what was inside a component, but it ended with a dxf containing the entire model

it does on the mac?
if you only have 'one' component or group selected (but not open for editing),
just to check I pulled a 75KB DXF out of a 8MB drawing.but, I more often copy>> paste in place what I want to export into it's own new drawing first and get it exactly right, without interfering with my main file.

I wrote this a while ago - it exports a selection to any available format http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?p=183756#p183756
So in your case it'd beexport_selection('dxf')
Of course you need the appropriate exporter - so for DXF you need v8Pro on one of the earlier versions that came with it in Free...
