      Hi All,

      I wanted to show you what is cooking in Tgi3D kitchen. This new tool allows you too warp/reshape a volume in 3D. The algorithms are in place and we are working on UI interface and other issues like deciding on a name ๐Ÿ˜‰, suggestions are most welcome ๐Ÿ˜„

      Below are the uncut, unedited videos to preview what is in the works. In the first video we reshape a thousand instances of a component together at once.

      [flash=480,385:kq31352r]http://www.youtube.com/v/3CE-YkryKK0?fs=1&hl=en_US[/flash:kq31352r]

      In the second and third videos, we warp volume with component hierarchy. The objects are textured. The textures can easily be "safeguarded and restored" as in the video. However, in the final version of the tool we intend to have it such that the texture adjusts as the object is reshaped (as is possible with all other Tgi3D commands).

      [flash=480,385:kq31352r]http://www.youtube.com/v/oZfMvDsgVMQ?fs=1&hl=en_US[/flash:kq31352r]

      [flash=480,385:kq31352r]http://www.youtube.com/v/DDYmBHZ44p4?fs=1&hl=en_US[/flash:kq31352r]

      This last video is a bit long, about 6 mins. We wanted to show that you can warp/reshape portions of a mesh for finer adjustments, sculpting, etc..

        Holy Grail!

        I have just watched the first video so far. All those components remain the same definition despite the severe deformation! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

        Watching the rest... ๐ŸŽ‰

        Well, watched them. Really impressive! ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

          looking good, it is a sort of FFD but with bezier curves instead of controlpoints.

                That's a neat way of doing non-destructive modification to instances - shown in that first video.

                  Seems the first tool can make some miracles in conjonction with this cool plugin by Sdmitch ๐Ÿ˜‰
                  Replace randomly components ๐Ÿ˜‰

                  All these new tools are integrated in the free version?

                    Thank you all for your kind words.

                    This is actually just one tool with tons of options for components, and yes it will be integrated into the free version (with some limit). For the option (affine) in the first video we had things like snake/fish scales in mind. The full option uniqufies the instances in the selection but still much faster than fully exploding all the hierarchy. Looks like we fixed most of the issues, still testing...

                    BTW, any votes/suggestions for the name are welcome, we still cannot decide what to call it "warp", "remorph", "mould" or ?? tool.

                    cheers

                      "Reshape"?

                      (or is that already an tool? I don't have complete overview...)

                            Neat

                            A question- does inferencing work with it? Can you pull one of the control points and have it snap to, say, an endpoint of a line?

                                Thanks for the suggestions ๐Ÿ˜„

                                As of now, yes inferencing works, you can snap points in and out of hierarchy by using regular SketchUp edit tools to edit the control box. We can display the preview only under Tgi3D tools though. Snapping two endpoints together creates a singularity, we are not explicitly handling that.

                                  a question.
                                  Is possible to modify two bezier curves symmetrically?
                                  or modify two or three Bezier curves simultaneously?
                                  Is possible add inferences?
                                  Is possible add support for the tools?

                                    No, currently it is not possible to modify two bezier curves simultaneously,

                                    No, it is not possible modify multiple bezier curves simultaneously either. If you move the common endpoint of multiple bezier curves, they change simultaneously but I don't think that is what you are asking, right?

                                        Ooooh, I need this tool! So fast. Have you considered a symmetry option for the morph box? Perhaps Warpform would be a good name.

                                        EDIT - oops replied before I read page two and Jorges questions about symmetry.
