      Anybody have a model of this kind of light fixture? any help would be greatly appreciated.

        It's relatively simple to model the surface with either my 'EEbyRails' or one of its siblings, or Fredo's 'CurviLoft'...
        There are also free tools to make the top/bottom 'helix' spiral too...
