In order for me to create promotion of my after school club where I teach, I made this video to kinda tease its existence for next year. I think it should keep them guessing and at the same time generate interest and motivation to find out what we will do. Mostly it will be AutoCAD competitions, FIRST Robotics, and any other CADD and engineering related activities I can find to get these kids experience in.

THERE IS NO RENDERING, just using sketchup and sketchy physics, flashMX and Premiere Pro..

I might try twighlight since I heard it can render skphys at the same time it is moving. However, I work like the rest of us and I need to learn it first πŸ˜„

Thanks and keep contributing, I find so many useful things here.

Cool animation. I kept waiting for the gear to move at the end though.

I knowwwwwwww... Well my problem was time, and I began creating the motion by putting the gear onto a servo or motor and letting it get up to speed, then exporting that animation. However, the computer didn't like that and kept crashing so I moved on.

I also could have set the background color of the image to transparent, and then put a solid color of that background in a different layer in Premiere, and then use the rotation tool for an image but just went with this.

What the square black and white symbol at the end mean? Its all over the internet.

They are QCodes, modern Barcodes that smartphones read. If you scan with phone they can lead to websites or info on product

Download the free D'oh Book for SketchUp πŸ“–

CORRECT. I put that there because next year will be the first year my tech program will utilize the AUTODESK Academy software package. I like hinting to things without telling the kids. That way they wonder for a summer what the next year will bring. It is the QCode for the IPAD/Iphone app for autocadd viewing and editing sorta. helps emphasize how cool next year WILL be.

Did anyone pick up on the GEARS word first being spelled by using 1337 letters? I am waiting for a kid to see that.
