        Your english is a bit difficult to understand. Perhaps you could post an image or 2 to show what you're looking for?

          It looks as if the request is for a tool that subdivides faces into equal area smaller faces? Or subdivides by a preset area? Or resets a face to a predetermined size?

          I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

            That's sort of the impression I got. If so then there's always the Subdivide part of the famous Subdivide and Smooth plugin (whose new name I don't recall...I always want to call it artlantis) if triangles will do. For some surfaces one could use the soap bubble & skin plugin which creates some nice square geometry but also creates triangles at the edges so it's not totally uniform.

                Wasn't the 2 released lately? Dividebymaterial and meshmaker both subdivided. Haven't tried them yet?

                  unclex, My plugin DivideByMaterial sub-divides rectangular faces into equal areas.

                  The basis for that plugin is Divide Face.rb which gives you the option of dividing by a maximum size or by a given number of divisions in the x and y directions and can be used on any face painted or otherwise.

                  divide by size or number

                  Nothing is worthless, it can always be used as a bad example.

                    @Brodie:
                    I think you mean Artisan which is the new name for Subdivide and Smooth by Whaat. Not sure if you always get all even subdivisions though.
