      Hello,

I would like to establish a workflow where I can relatively quickly produce readable plans and sections from a SU model.
Does anyone work like that? Please share your knowledge.

For sections, you may use the standard section tool ... For drawings, you may make your model a group, then create a plane that you put wherever you are interested in, > intersect with model, > you move the plane away and display it full screen > export 2D view ...

doing technical engineering on SketchUp ... without plugins

SketchUp is a modeling program with only some ability to output scaled views of the model. For more elaborate presentation, or scaled views you must use LayOut, or output the model for use in other applications.
