Yeah, I'd imagine the cougar was already dead. A cougar would be just too quick for a mule. Still its a great story and the dogs in the background looking on really make a great picture.

No worries! I'm never surprised that forwarded messages are often complete fabrications. Somewhere out there, there is a room full of people cranking out false stories for politics and everything else under the sun. I hope they get paid well, because I get a lot of their stuff! Snopes is your friend!
